"A Destination Wedding Experience"

Design Concept: Having previously designed a celebration for the family, Miraj and Sonia entrusted Kevins Events with the design and planning of their destination wedding in Zanzibar. Over six months, a series of celebrations were curated, each with its own identity while remaining connected through one cohesive design narrative.
From ocean-inspired settings and immersive guest experiences to contemporary receptions and intimate moments, the celebrations reflected both the spirit of Zanzibar and the personalities of the couple.
Our Design Advice: Multi-day celebrations are most successful when each event has its own character while contributing to one overall experience. Thoughtful transitions between celebrations create a journey that guests remember long after the wedding.

"An Immersive Floral Experience"

Design Concept: With Love, Bea was designed as an immersive floral experience for 800 guests at Kili Seasons. A palette of white and ivory blooms, mirrored surfaces, sculptural draping, and contemporary architectural elements transformed the venue into a world of romance, reflection, and celebration.
Our Design Advice: Great event design is not created through a single focal point. Layering florals, lighting, architectural elements, and guest experiences throughout the space creates a celebration that feels immersive and unforgettable.

"A Ballroom Reimagined"

Design Concept: Hamis and Sabrina entrusted Kevins Events with the planning, coordination, and design of their celebration. Their vision was to completely transform the ballroom, creating an environment where guests would no longer recognise the venue itself.
Through layered lighting, suspended crystal installations, couture-inspired details, architectural florals, and carefully curated guest experiences, the ballroom was reimagined into a contemporary celebration defined by atmosphere, scale, and detail.
Our Design Advice: Transforming a familiar venue requires more than decoration. By considering every surface, sightline, and guest experience, a space can be entirely reimagined.

"The Art of Arrival"

Design Concept: Designed for 1,000 guests, Jordan and Doria’s wedding transformed the gardens of Serena Hotel into a complete celebration experience. A custom-built marquee, dramatic lighting, reflective surfaces, architectural detailing, and layered floral moments created a setting that felt grand, intimate, and beautifully considered.
From the arrival experience to the reception reveal, every detail was designed to feel intentional. The space carried a sense of theatre, romance, and elegance, allowing guests to move through the celebration as one seamless experience.
Our Design Advice: Large weddings should never feel disconnected. When arrival, atmosphere, lighting, florals, and guest flow are designed together, the celebration becomes more than beautiful — it becomes memorable.

Design Concept: Having previously designed celebrations for the family, Ali and Dr. Lucy entrusted Kevins Events with the planning, coordination, and design of their wedding in Tanga. Set against the natural beauty of the coastline, the celebration combined timeless florals, reflective details, and layered guest experiences to create a setting that felt both elegant and personal.
The ceremony and reception were thoughtfully designed to complement the surroundings while creating an atmosphere of warmth, intimacy, and celebration.
Our Design Advice: The most meaningful celebrations are built on trust. Long-standing relationships allow for greater creative freedom, resulting in experiences that feel both personal and timeless.

Design Concept: Nearly a year in the making, Anthony and Irene’s wedding brought together guests from Tanzania and across West Africa for a destination celebration on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Working with a monochromatic palette of black, white, silver, and candlelight, the design combined architectural structures, suspended chandeliers, reflective surfaces, and contemporary florals to create an experience that felt both modern and timeless.
Our Design Advice: The most memorable celebrations are built on trust, patience, and a shared commitment to the creative process. Allowing a design to evolve often results in experiences that feel more personal, meaningful, and enduring.

For over a decade, I have had the privilege of designing some of life’s most meaningful celebrations across Tanzania and East Africa.
Along the way, I have refined my design philosophy through international masterclasses and professional training in the Philippines, Dubai, Nigeria, Russia, and Spain. These experiences have shaped a globally informed approach while remaining deeply rooted in East African celebrations.
As the Founder and Creative Director of Kevins Events, I believe that every celebration should feel personal, intentional, and unlike any other. No two clients are the same, and no two events should ever look the same.
From intimate gatherings to destination weddings and large-scale celebrations, my approach has always been simple: to create experiences that reflect the people at the heart of the celebration. Every flower, every table, every light, and every detail is carefully considered to tell a story and create lasting memories.
Over the years, I have had the opportunity to design celebrations in Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, the Serengeti, and beyond, working with clients who trust me to bring their vision to life with elegance, creativity, and attention to detail.
